Summer Swoop 2009

Just attended an event called Summer Swoop, which is organised by MUISS for international students..
Mostly those that attended were Malaysians..there are also Japanese, Mauritian, Indonesian, Sweedish, American, Chinese from China..etc etc

The event is basically to expose us (new international students) to the surroundings of Clayton and things we ought to know in order to survive over here..
They made it like Amazing Race whereby u will need to solve problem at a station before getting the clue for the next station..
The hard part is to figure out the which station is meant by the clue and also to fulfill the game master's desire..
The game master for each station has different requests..eg: buy something made from Msia/ Indonesia like spices, get the required book from library, make poses of poster for certain movies, do 10 push-ups, find the exact location of the photo of the object taken, say hello in 8 different languages, sing a not-so-easy song out loud..
The event lasted for one whole day..
My team managed to finish it before time..so well done for us though we din get any prize =)

It is really a good and fun experience..
We learn about the bus route, recognise places around Clayton, catch the train, get to know about good food..
N most importantly is the new friends found ^^ So glad that I'm in the group..

Hello Clayton

Here is a Hello greeting sent from Clayton, Victoria~

Today is my 5th day over here.
Things have been hectic ever since I've landed.
Problems occurring here and there since the 1st day.
But well..things are getting better now..just got the house cleaned..not really YET..left the final part which is to mop the floor of the entire house..upstairs is fully carpeted anyway but gonna vacuum it again..it got dusty after cleaning the window..%#@*&..okok..enough of grumbling with the cleaning job..

Overall, the house is okay IF it is clean..
Many have come to my house..but I've gone to none..
My housemates and I hv been crazily cleaning the house and getting the groceries shopping done..There is a lot to buy even though it is a fully furnished house..OMG
I've spent like @@..Don't convert..STOP converting..

The weather over here is..dry but windy..sunny but cold..
Hmm..I guess u won't understand it if u aint here..
But my lips seriously get dry every now and then even though I've applied lip balm constantly n drinking more water than I used to drink in Penang..

Anyway, I've yet to obtain my internet connection..
Currently I'm using the free mobile broadband given by THREE..
I've signed up the promotional plan whereby I pay $39 for a $49 plan and get an extra 1GB mobile broadband for free..n also get the phone for free..however the phone is nothing much to be fascinating about..
In all, the plan is worth it and so I took it..This is like the 2nd last phone in the store..so consider myself as lucky ^^


Been to few places like Clayton Town, Chadstone and Mount Waverley..
Have yet to been to the city..gonna be this Fri or Sat..^^
Just had my enrolment done yesterday n allocated my timetable..
Orientation starts next week..
Going to join some amazing race event tomorrow organized by Monash University International Student Society (MUISS)..I guess it is going to be fun..
Finally I can think of the word fun after all the frustrated cleaning n settling down..

Not much pictures have been taken except for the food we cooked or ordered..
Life isnt that colourful for these 5 days but hopefully it will get brighter n brighter after the gloomy ones..

How I wish I have a car now~~~
I'm sick of walking with hell lots of heavy stuffs on hand..
N I miss my bolster..why they dont sell bolster over here..*sniff sniff*
N I'm still coughing..OMG..It has been like 2 weeks d..

Well, don't worry about me..
I will be adapting to the new environment and get myself recovered SOON..

Goodbye Penang

Okay..It is really time for me to blog a lil'..just a few hours before I board the plane..
Sorry for the lack posting..I've been sick and 'm still sick..
Was still excited two weeks ago regarding touching down at Kangaroo Land..
But not after my early 21st n farewell party, where I caught myself in a terrible illness status..

Initially was voiceless due to the awful sorethroat..that continue for a couple of days..and in between the nights I had fever..
Then here came the bad cough which lasts until now (already 10 days n still counting)..
Sigh..All I need now is water n sleep..But I barely sleep well at night due to the cough..Urgh..

The MOST suffering part is the food..as I should be enjoying the scrumptious Penang food during my last week of stay here..But all I've been eating are watery porridge, soupy nooddle..
Another sad sad thingy is that I'm not allowed to meet up with friends..
Inevitably, the excited feelings got drown..

Well, just let it be then since I can't chase back the time..
N I know good frienship will remain regardless of time, distance etc etc.
I'm so gonna miss all the girls' hang out, chit-chatting and warm accompany..
Thanks for all the love, care and happiness..
I will return sooner than u can imagine..hopefully emerging as a better individual..

My Early 21st + Farewell Party

Another overdued post..
I should have blogged about this earlier..Now the feeling is totally different liao..

As stated, the party was thrown last Saturday (31/1/09) at the pool side of my place.
The theme of the party is PURPLE..
Hehe..My favourite colour..
Well, it turned out better than what I expect as not many people has purple colour clothings..so white is the alternative..
But there are some who just *puff* forgotten about the colour theme..Hehe..it's alright..No worries..Just like how I didnt obey the colour theme for Party 21 hosted by Wee Hwang..=P

N I would like to apologise for any incovenience or unsatisfaction caused for the night..Too many stuffs that need to be handled..Perhaps I've invited too many?
Hmm..50 friends plus numerous relatives have attended the party..XD
Come to think abt it..50 is not really a big number..As u grow up, u will get to know more n more friends, starting from Primary, High School, College n now University..It's good to know that so many of us still keep in touch after such a long time..*Applause*
