Mostly those that attended were Malaysians..there are also Japanese, Mauritian, Indonesian, Sweedish, American, Chinese from China..etc etc
The event is basically to expose us (new international students) to the surroundings of Clayton and things we ought to know in order to survive over here..
They made it like Amazing Race whereby u will need to solve problem at a station before getting the clue for the next station..
The hard part is to figure out the which station is meant by the clue and also to fulfill the game master's desire..
The game master for each station has different requests..eg: buy something made from Msia/ Indonesia like spices, get the required book from library, make poses of poster for certain movies, do 10 push-ups, find the exact location of the photo of the object taken, say hello in 8 different languages, sing a not-so-easy song out loud..
The event lasted for one whole day..
My team managed to finish it before time..so well done for us though we din get any prize =)
It is really a good and fun experience..
We learn about the bus route, recognise places around Clayton, catch the train, get to know about good food..
N most importantly is the new friends found ^^ So glad that I'm in the group..
By the way, I only have few photos in my camera..waiting for the others to upload to facebook..
